When you build a new home, you want confidence it’s performing as it should. Yet in Idaho, most homes are completed without air-sealing or energy-efficiency testing. This leaves many homeowners with hidden issues such as air leaks, insulation gaps, and poor sealing. These can increase energy bills, reduce comfort, and shorten the lifespan of the home.

Idaho follows the 2018 IECC with state amendments, so most builders are not required to test airtightness Our Home Performance Test changes that. Using advanced blower door testing and thermal imaging, we provide independent verification of how well your home is sealed and insulated. These tests reveal what can’t be seen with the eye during construction, giving you real data on your home’s efficiency and comfort.

In many U.S. states, blower door testing is a mandatory requirement under the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Idaho has not adopted this standard, which means local builders are not required to measure or guarantee airtightness.
